S: Must Watch
Episodes I believe you must watch or are missing out on.
1. Takopi’s Original Sin. Ep. 6. FINAL
Before talking about the episode and anime overall, I’d like to shoutout Ueda Reina, what a stellar performance from her.
Wow, this was excellent.
Shizuka is an extreme case, but she is the personification of the failures of parents and adults. All of her issues and eventual fall to insanity stem from no one being there for her or listening.
Marina is a similar, though much more common. The issues at home being the reason she targets Shizuka as she connects her to the cause of all the issues in Shizuka’s mother.
Azuma is realistic as well, though one that expresses the nonviolent result from pressure of those important to him. I loved his inclusion as it conveyed just how different issues for children can be.
Takopi, what a wonderful character. Takopi represents the misunderstandings and ignorance adults have when attempting to help children. Each gadget is one of the methods that are often used by adults with little or no results due to ignorance, ones that seek to remedy parts of the issue that will have no effect; however, he also represents the good nature of some who try to help even though they fail. He wants to help, and he never gave up.
And that is the message from this anime in my eyes. As difficult it may be, you cannot give up when trying to help. As difficult it may be, it is the respomsibility of all adults to do what they can.
And this anime offers a solution. Listen and talk to them.
Please listen.
Adults spend so much time believing they know what is right, that the solution they think of will fix everything. But sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes it makes things worse, sometimes it pushes the issue aside.
So listen to them. You may not have the perfect solution, but even the moments shared to hear them out could be enough to help, or to find a solution.
What a beautiful anime, 10/10
2. Call of The Night. Ep. 5
I have to say it again, Kabura is so fine man.
It is messed to raise the child of the one you loved, but Kabura did a great job. Also glad she got rid of everything in the room, Anko was just around the corner it seems but best Kabura should be fine for now.
Nazuna’s past was a surprise. The child of a human and vampire was something I never even considered. Could that make her invincible? I think not as Anko is still willing to look for her so there must be other weaknesses we don’t know about.
With Anko on the hunt, the confrontation between her and Nazuna is closing in. is the solution killing Anko? I think not. I believe it will be a finale where Anko accepts the fact that some vampires aren’t evil, or she gives in all together.
9/10, Kabura 11/10
3. Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai. Ep. 5
Is this the first time we’ve seen Sakuta’s past like that? I wouldn’t show up to the reunion either, Sakuta continues to show why he is a stellar boyfriend.
Seeing Zuki was a surprise for sure, Sakuta doesn’t realize how good he has it. And, I do believe there is someone living a similar life out there.
We need more moments between Mai and Sakuta. They probably the healthiest relationship I’ve ever seen in anime. There is a lot of sacrifice and compromise needed for their relationship to work, but they care for each other so much that they make it happen. The maturity they show when speaking about issues like puberty syndrome is also a great example of what it takes to have a good relationship.
The focus for now is Akagi. I believe her intentions are good, I even want to support her, but Sakuta is right. When trying to change the future, you must be careful or you could make things worse. I do like that we’re getting an interaction with someone from Sakuta’s middle school, but it seems she’s suffering from an extreme case of puberty syndrome.
9/10, aspire for your relationship to be as good as Sakuta and Mai.
4. Gachiakuta. Ep.
Riyo is the type of girl man used to go to for, do your thing Rudo.
Rudo has been hit with the Kafka performance struggles this episode. I don’t expect him to be able to fight on the level of someone like Riyo, I’m not surprised he doesn’t remember how to use his powers either as he’s only done so when very emotional.
The mystery of the vital equipment in the trash beast is interesting as I was thinking not all with powers would be part of the cleaners and they may have bad intentions as well.
8.9/10, money on the boss being hot!
A: Very Good
Good episodes, anime I would recommend to someone looking for something to watch.
5. The Rising of the Shield Hero. Ep. 5
Kevin Penkin my guy, you don’t have to go this hard on the soundtrack. But, please, do so.
Fohl had something to prove and I’m glad Naofumi had his back. Getting two transformations was unexpected, it comes with a great OST and natural aura farming. It would have been incredible it was something like super sayain 100, if you know you know. This was nice as well, so I’ll take it.
Atla looked adorable in her outfits, give her some love Naofumi.
There is nothing like food from home. As many times I’ve left, as much as I’ve traveled, meals from mom have always been the best.
I enjoyed this arc more than I thought I would. It picked up for the fight and felt rewarding to see Fohl progress. The ship is now ready however, my expectations are high for you Shield Hero!
8/10
6. Kaiju No. 8. Ep. 15
Kikoru is incredible. Is this the first time we’ve seen her mother? They basically went copy and paste on the genetics.
Knowing that Kikoru has always wanted to join the defense force makes the death of her mother even sadder. Being devastated is natural, but the look her father had was terrifying. That was pure conviction to killing kaiju’s and now it’s transferred into Kikoru.
No. 9 has to be some sort of genius. Adapting as it did during battle makes it a huge threat, but Narumi is an even bigger one. The ability to see the future is overpowered, how in the world was that Kaiju beaten?
It seems fear is what is holding Kafka back. Same, sometimes. But I agree with Kikoru, worst comes then he would be stopped. What I look forward to is a fully realized Kafka, I think he’ll be incredibly strong.
9/10
7. Arknights: Rise from Ember. Ep. 21
Could Amiya always do that?
W being alive was surprising, though she was crazy for thinking she could fight in her state. But she did reveal something interesting that I hope to learn more about soon.
I understand where Rosmontis speaks from, and I don’t blame her. After that transmission, I’m surprised she didn’t cause more damage.
A lot happened this episode, but Amiya stole the show for me. All the weight on her shoulders, the stress of her power and responsibilities, and yet she never falls apart. She is wonderful to watch and has the qualities of a leader I look up to.
With the wall broken, we’ll see Talulah soon but first we’ll need to get more insight on that vision Amiya had.
8.5/10, everyone is rightfully on edge.
8. Dan Da Dan. Ep. 18
Love the designs of the Hayasii, though I was not expect the performance they gave at all. They can actually shred, I was as captivated as the young trio were.
I will say, I disagree with Jiji in this episode. We know how dangerous Evil Eye is and if he doesn’t have a way to control it at the time then it is selfish to ask for the exorcism to stop. What Grandma Ayase says goes however.
For those unlucky enough to never experience a maid cafe, I say do it at least once. It’s simply one of those experiences you can’t get anywhere else.
8.5/10, the song was actually incredibly good, love it when we get random bangers like that.
9. My Dress-Up Darling. Ep. 5
The homies must know I love the ending
Not everyone can cook, but I applaud Marin for trying. It could be the way to her beloved’s heart, though she still has a long way to go before it put Gojo under a spell she desires.
Now, the focus of this episode was on Gojo learning that it is ok to ask for help and it was well done. Much of the story revolves around Gojo’s growth in confidence and social skills which is as much of a draw as Marin’s personality is in my opinion.
With that said, this arc is moving a lot faster than I thought it would so we may get more arcs then I believed in the season.
8/10, love girls that try.
10. Witch Watch, Ep. 18
Creating life is got to be an all time life achievement.
Kara and Shiki’s relationship was a rollercoaster. But Shiki sacrificing everything is a sign of true devotion, he’s better than most man in anime already. He’s built for water however, so I’m glad he’s alive and well.
As someone who has recently taken a stint in sales, I hate it. But I admire the people who make a living with it, and I guess it’s about presentation. And lying, it’s mostly about lying of course.
8/10, Keigo making an apology was amazing.
B: Good/Solid
11. A Couple of Cuckoos. Ep. 5
Ai should have swept.
One thing about the manga is how well the girls have always been drawn. The different outfits are always nice as well so I’ll give the author that compliment.
Although, the style of the anime does make the girls look different at times but it’s not too much.
Worrying about first times is a slippery slope. It’s not to think about it and only focus on the moments together as first times.
Ai going nuclear with the power of press is incredible. I’m into it, loving someone so much you let the whole world know. And better yet, you let them know. Hiro, on the other hand, suffers from the indecisiveness syndrome. No, even worse, manipulative confusion syndrome. It makes her the worst of the four as much I hate to say it because I love her design. But it only gets worse over time and it makes it hard to like her.
Also, it’s different from Mami’s manipulation in RAG. Mami does it for the love of the game, so I respect it. Hiro because she can’t make up her mind. They are not the same.
7/10, Arc fault is fire. Love that the Umino sales are sky rocketing.
Guys, I think Erike is end game but something tells me she isn’t. I just can’t explain.
C: It’s ok/Fine
These are shows I happen to pick up but struggle to finish. Still watchable, but not without a good break in between episodes.
12. Watari-Kun’s ****** Is about to Collapse. Ep. 5
I am that simple, for better or worse.
It’s nice when a guy has some courage, even if Watari only showed it for a few seconds.
As for the Ishihara, I’m proud that she was able to voice herself. There is a safe level of persistence, but Fujioka has gone far past it. And while I believe it’s good for her to sort her thoughts out, going out alone at night is danger waiting to happen. Or, in this case, a dangerous situation.
I think what the author doesn’t realize that they are unknowingly writing a story about thee effects someone has on another without realizing it. IN this case, both Fujioka and Watari are culprits. Ishihara struggles with someone chasing after her like Fujioka does, while Satsuki is hurt by how Watari chases another. Satsuki knows that Watari has eyes for another and does it to herself, but I still feel for her.
Despite the scenes between Watari and Ishihara, Satsuki is still end game. The moment Watari learns the truth behind Satsuki’s acttions, it’s done.
7/10, leave that girl alone man! And I mean it disrespectfully.
D: Do Not Recommend
Shows I do not recommend you watch for various issues.
F: Bad
Anime with glaring issues that make them not only difficult to watch, but the watcher angry at times.
Last. Rent a Girlfriend. Ep. 42
So it’s time for the trip.
Kazuya talking about asking Chizuru out as if he has ever had any type of courage is infuriating, brother, you’re not going to do it!
Chizuru wondering about the condom is just as bad. Girl, if you’re thinking this much about it then make up your mind. Have him or cut things off.
And don’t hit me with the she is going through a lot or she needs time, she’s far to indecisive for her own good and that causes problems for herself and those around her.
I will say, Kazuya’s friends coming along is the type of messy stuff I find hilarious, so, whatever, I’ll give RAG a point this time around.
4/10, an extra point for the messiness that I loved, but that’s all you get RAG!
Let’s not forget best girl now, Mami is here.
Some words
More to come soon!
